Smart Monitoring and Diagnosing System (SMDS)
The SMDS allows you to monitor the real-time status of the ebus and the charging posts.
With the SMDS, customers can remotely diagnose any problems and control the bus systems, which significantly reduces the maintenance cost. Driving data generated by the SMDS can be analyzed and used for further research.
New intelligent low-voltage electricity management system
The new electric current control system has integrated all the electric circuits of the bus. The newly upgraded self-diagnosis function can effectively diagnose short circuits caused by excessive internal heat or voltage. The system can be tailor-made to meet the customers’ diverse operation requirements. The system provides additional protection for both the hardware and software and enhances the safety of the bus.
Autohold System
Autohold System ensures safety. When the driver brakes and the bus comes to a stop, the bus will automatically be prevented from moving even on a slope without stepping on the brake pedal.
Battery and Battery Management
The Iron-Phosphate batteries fitted to BYD ebuses have high energy and power density and at the same time meet high safety standards. The batteries have adopted BYD’s industry-leading Battery Thermal Management System (BTMS) which has a good heat interchange effect. This can effectively reduce the battery degradation and help extend battery life.
Keyless System
With Keyless System, the bus can be started and stopped by just one press on the ‘POWER’ button.
Regenerative Braking System
Regenerative Braking System converts some of the kinetic energy into electricity and stores it in the battery to give additional driving range.
Pre-heating System
The heating and air conditioning function can be switched on at a pre-set time thanks to the Pre-heating System.

Safety, NVH and EMC Test
BYD’s EMC and NVH laboratories are state of the art and meet national and international standards. Tested in these BYD labs, the BYD ebus has proven it does no electromagnetic harm and delivers an outstanding performance in noise, vibration and harshness. It’s safe, quiet and comfortable.
Wading Test
The degree of water ingress Protection of BYD ebus electrical components comply with IP67 norm, which means BYD ebuses pass the flooding test with 300mm water depth. Thus, The strong wading ability guarantees that the BYD ebus can operate well in heavy weather like rain storms or flooding.
Temperature Test
The BYD ebus does not only perform perfectly in extremely high temperature areas like Turpan in China, but also meets the expectations in very low temperatures like in the Nordics.
Road Tests
In line with the European road test standards, BYD ebus has successfully gone through a series of road tests with various loads (empty load, half load and full load) and road conditions (mountain,cobblestone ,sinusoidal, pitholes etc).

Safety first
We value safe labor conditions, so it is required that all technical staff working on BYD electric buses receives permission to work with high-voltage.
To ensure safety, the BYD Safety Operation Guide lists all the personal protective equipment and tools needed and provides further safety guidance for the operation. Regulation
Our ebuses meet the latest European safety standards R155/R156, R29 (cab occupant protection), R93 (front lower protection) and R66 (vehicle rollover protection) tests to ensure the safety of the driver and passengers in the event of a collision and body deformation from the entire vehicle structure. The modular design of the protection structures allows customization for customers’ needs.
Multiple charging solutions.
BYD offers various charging solutions to meet all possible charging possibility. The DC fast charging solution is available with high charging power. The charging interface uses IEC 62193-3 standard Combo-2. And the charging communication protocol complies with the IS0 15118 standard.
Also, a pantograph charging is available, both in panto up and panto down versions All the charging equipment BYD provides is easy to install, use and maintain.
